Our final regatta for points was held Saturday, October 16th.
Winds for the day were forecast to have gusts up to 28 MPH and a few strong gusts did occur during rigging. Our race committee decided to hold the regatta in spite of the forecast but some members decided not to sail due to the forecast.
It was impressive to see the number of monohulls be first into the water in spite of the high wind. A hearty bunch of sailors this lot!
Fortunately, the winds did not live up to the forecast and three races of 2 laps each were completed without any boats needing to be rescued.
